Scope
ElevenLabs ElevenCreative, V2 Multilingual text to speech, regular monthly paid plans in USD before tax. Free, introductory offers, annual pricing, API pay-as-you-go pricing, rollover and paid overages are excluded. All monthly credits are assumed available for this workload.
The calculation
Estimated characters = pieces per month × words per piece × characters per word. Estimated credits = characters × (1 + retake percentage / 100), rounded up. One character is modeled as one credit, according to the official V2 Multilingual documentation. Defaults of six characters per word and 150 words per minute are adjustable assumptions, not vendor guarantees.
When a script is pasted, its Unicode code-point count, including whitespace and punctuation, replaces the estimated characters per piece. Word count is estimated from whitespace for runtime only. This is not the vendor’s billing meter. No script text is sent to a server.
Plan selection
We choose the lowest-price supported plan with enough included credits for the estimated workload. We do not optimize plan-plus-overage combinations. Cost per finished minute is the entire monthly subscription divided by estimated finished minutes, not the vendor’s advertised generation rate.
Freshness and failures
The updater reads the official pricing summary and requires explicit plan and billing evidence. If the page changes or cannot be read, it retains the previous snapshot without advancing its verification date. After seven days, the calculator disables plan recommendations and hides pricing.
